The Bauer Supreme 2S Pro Senior leg pad builds off the great technologies that were introduced to the goalie world via the Supreme 1S. Keeping the same great performance, the Supreme 2S Pro Sr goal pad further improves performance and durability innovations through NHL and customer feedback.

Possibly the most noticeable feature that anybody first looking at a Supreme 1S or Vapor 1X pad is the unique C.O.R.Tech skin that wraps the entire surface of the pad. C.O.R.Tech, which is an acronym for Coefficient Of Restitution, refers to the ability for an object to return to it's original shape after being impacted, which in goalie language means a longer, harder rebound. Other great properties of Bauer's C.O.R.Tech skin are the lack of weight compared to conventional Jenpro, and the exceptional slide along the ice, which were enjoyed by goalies since it's inception. This year, Bauer uses an upgraded C.O.R.TechST skin that is 3 times more durable than the previous material, while keeping the same great performance.

The Bauer Supreme 2S Pro introduces an updated Powerlite core, which is the blend of Bauers proprietary Curv composite with EPP foam. Bauer's Supreme line has always been synonymous with a stiff, rigid pad, though Powerlite allows the 2S Pro to keep its structure throughout the lifespan of the pad, while keeping weight to a minimum. Not only does having a more structured core increase durability, it also greatly improves the seal to the ice by reducing torsional flex.

Continuing with the theme of stability along the ice, an updated bindingless calf plate has been added to the 2S Pro.effectively gets rid of a large wear point on the pad and increases stability along the ice by having less flex in that area. An updated sewn-in nash knee landing adds grip when dropping down and eliminates the knee block flexing laterally.

Durability has been a relevant topic amongst goalies in the age of new gear innovations; a position that is generally resistant to change. The 2S Pro has taken leaps and bounds in correcting the durability concerns that come with bringing a vastly different product to market. A new Jenpro top-welting encases the top binding of the pad, which reduces wear in high-impact areas. New stitched-on jenpro patches on the inside and outside edges reinforce high-wear areas and eliminate potential splitting of the C.O.R.Tech skin.

Coming from the first renditions of the OD1N project seen on Henrik Lundqvist in late 2013, the Bauer Supreme line has brought what was once seen as merely a concept to a high-performing retail pad enhanced by improved durability in the Supreme 2S Pro.
